New Centre Opening: Lumen Wheatbelt Regional University Centre

Lumen Wheatbelt Regional University Centre has four study hubs located across the Wheatbelt region in WA – Narrogin, Merredin, York and Wongan Hills and has been operating since late 2022. The centre was officially opened at the Narrogin study hub on 3 May by the Federal Assistant Minister for Education; Assistant Minister for Regional Development, Senator the Hon. Anthony Chisholm and the Senator for WA, the Hon. Sue Lines.

Directors and Student Support Officers from the Greater Southern University Centre and Geraldton University Centre also travelled a great distance to help celebrate the opening. In addition, Mr Peter Rundle, MLA Deputy Leader of the Nationals WA the Hon. Shelley Payne MLC Member for the Agricultural Region and Dr Amma Buckley from RUC network were in attendance.

Lumen WRUC already have a large number of registered students from towns across the Wheatbelt, extending from the Central Midlands, Central East, Avon and Wheatbelt South. These students are studying a range of higher education courses from undergraduate to post-graduate qualifications.
