RUC Cohort 3 Wonthaggi Bootcamp from June

The inaugural Regional University Centres’ Bootcamp was held at CUC Bass Coast (Wonthaggi, Victoria) on 21-22 June 2023 involving representatives from seven of the eight recently funded Cohort 3 centres. In total, there were 15 attendees, including RUC representatives, Department of Education, CUC Central and the RUC Network. The two-day event was chiefly an experiential and discussion-based learning format providing a great opportunity for new centres to connect with each other.

Centres attending included:

·         CUC Cape York

·         Lumen Wheatbelt RUC

·         Pilbara Kimberley University Centres (Broome Campus)

·         CUC Mt Isa

·         Uni Hub Spencer Gulf (Port Lincoln)

·         Uni Hub Spencer Gulf (Roxby Downs Outreach Centre)

The Bootcamp was organised by the RUC Network with the two-day content largely facilitated by CUC Central involving Ashlee Jones, Chris Ronan and Dan Keenan, with other sessions presented by Kristie Van Omme (DE), Natalie Nelmes (GUC) and RUC Network Project Manager, Amma Buckley. Knowledge sharing topics and information session are outlined in the two-day schedule.
